There seem to be some questions regarding the facts behind Terry Rowlands (owner and designer of muck-truck™) and the previous Muck Truck Company.

 

Most of you probably do not know that Terry Rowlands was very good friends with the brothers who was manufacturing under License the muck-truck™ product range.

During a visit in 2006, Terry informed the brothers that he was relocating his finance office for the world-wide distribution to the USA, and that this relocation would not include manufacturing. The brothers were very excited for Terry and his family, and drove them around showing them houses and developments in Port St Lucie.

Since Mr. Rowland’s relocation in June 2007, and a court case and mediation, the parties have severed all their ties. Details of the court case and the mediation cannot be disclosed, as we are bound by confidentiality.

Terry learned that the brother’s planned to produce their "own" version of the muck-truck™, and felt betrayed by friends.

Terry realized that this was clearly the brother’s intention from the start, and that muck-truck™ created an opportunity for them to re-create / copy or re-manufacture their own version of a motorized wheelbarrow. During the 3 year relationship, Terry and the team at muck-truck™ provided the brothers with technical drawings, training and lists of suppliers and even assisted with the importation of the spares and materials. Terry was taken aback by the brother’s business ethics and their intentional destruction of a friendship and obvious disregard for the license agreement.

We have also learned that there is a lot of deformaton of Terry and of the muck-truck™ company. And he quotes: "Our company has been in business for over 25 years, and we’ve been selling muck-trucks™ for over 16 years. I first came up with the idea when I was 19 years old. It has always been my moto to look for business partners that I would also select to be my friends. I was very dissapointed in the way the friendship and business relationship came to an end."

Terry further says: "It is unfortunate that Companies and designers have to spend a lot of time and money fighting to protect their designs and products. We have extensive design protection on our products and we will continue to fight against those who try to copy our design. Luckily for us, Governments, Customs and the Patent offices across the world are also coming down hard on these companies/individuals."
